HOMELESSNESS SUPPORT
Having a safe and secure home is a fundamental right that extends beyond those experiencing rough sleeping.
How we can support.
Our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) and Homeless Youth Assistance Program (HYAP) focus on supporting young people aged 12-24 who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Our dedicated teams respond quickly to referrals and offer safe accommodation through our network of refuges.
We work closely with a range of services to help secure long-term, stable housing. This involves partnerships with housing providers, educational and training organisations, and services that offer support in areas like mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and more.
What does homelessness look like?
Homelessness can also arise when individuals leave a refuge or move frequently between temporary accommodations. This can include couch surfing, staying briefly with friends or family, or living in hotels, caravan parks, or even vehicles.
